I have a job interview this Thursday and I was initially very excited until I remembered that my wardrobe for the past few years has consisted of sweats, jeans, hoodies, and scrubs. I immediately sent out an S.O.S. to my girls and they (as always) were ready to help. I still need to find an outfit for the Thursday interview, but we made plans to meet at my place this weekend so that they can dress me like a proper, believable adult. A tiny, proper, believable adult.
This last paycheck hit me like an uppercut and I spent much of the weekend emailing and applying to jobs through my phone with one hand while keeping my kids from crawling into the fireplace with the other. That qualifies as multitasking, I believe.
I also checked out a four books from the library to study up on this path to marketing. It seems very straightforward in theory, but we’ll see how I can put it into practice. The psychology behind the marketing is fascinating and what drew me in the first place. There are more technical parts, of course, but that psychological aspect… Oooh, boy. Hooked. It will be a few chapters (or books) before I get as deep into it as I want, but I can’t exactly bypass the more unsavory parts.
My books are due back on July 17th and I am determined to be done with them by then.
